CHICAGO (June 8, 2015) – The U.S. Under-15 Boys’ National Team dropped its first of three friendlies in Buenos Aires , Argentina, on Monday, after a 1-0 loss to Uruguay at the Racing Club Youth Facility.
The USA fought hard during the first half of the 80-minute game, but was caught off guard at the start of the second period, allowing Uruguay to take advantage and capitalize in the 41st to take the lead and score the eventual game-winning goal.
Next, the U-15s will face Argentina on June 10, and wrap up its camp with a third friendly against the host nation Argentina on June 12 in Buenos Aires.
Previously to this camp, the U-15 BNT most recently competed at the 12th Tournament delle Nazioni in Gradisca d’Isonzo, Italy, from April 25-May 1, where they defeated Austria 3-2 in the championship match to claim the tournament title for the USA for the first time in its history.
