CHICAGO (June 9, 2014) – FIFA has opened the press credential application window for the 2014 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Canada. The U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team was drawn into Group B of the tournament, which begins on Aug. 5 in Canada, joining Germany, China PR and Brazil. The U.S. will play its first two matches at Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium and its last group stage match at Moncton Stadium in Moncton, Canada. The U-20 competition precedes next summer’s 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup that will also be held in Canada.
The deadline to apply for credentials is Friday, July 4, 2014.

Media accreditation via the FIFA Media Channel is for written press, photographers and media working for non-rights-holding broadcasters. There is a separate accreditation process for rights-holding radio and television broadcasters that is serviced by the FIFA Broadcaster Servicing Team.
